Smart Match Transport Network is an intelligent freight marketplace designed to reduce manual work for forwarders and make relevant work easier to find for carriers and carrier fleets.
Smart Match Transport Network now has a public web entry layer where users can register or sign in, choose whether they need transport or provide transport, and then enter the correct role-specific workspace. Demand-side users can register as Freight Forwarder, Business / Shipper or Local Customer; supply-side users can register as Carrier or Carrier Fleet.
The demonstration now includes realistic synthetic activity across posted jobs, direct pings, network offers, accepted jobs awaiting details, ongoing work, completed jobs, PODs, invoices and payment states across Customer / Forwarder, Carrier and Carrier Fleet views.
After a rating is submitted, the long form collapses to a short confirmation. The sender has a 48-hour correction window, after which the rating is locked. Rating notifications are prepared for email delivery to the rated account.
Completed jobs remain operational records, while paid/unpaid status is controlled only from the Customer / Forwarder Invoice Ledger. This keeps payment actions out of job-history screens and gives the finance workflow one clear source of truth.
Customer / Forwarder, Carrier and Carrier Fleet accounts can search directly by invoice number and open a single invoice from the ledger without expanding the full history.
Jobs waiting for operational details are presented as a short list. The Forwarder opens one accepted job at a time, completes the full collection, delivery and booking details, and sends that job into Ongoing without expanding every accepted job on the page.
Smart Read can recognise repeated full-load work in one enquiry, preserve the stated vehicle/body requirement, split timed collection slots into separate jobs, keep delivery windows intact, and carry future-load opportunities into the notes for the booking team.
Customer / Forwarder job creation is reduced to four clear actions: Paste Text, Screenshot, Smart Read and Start Another Load. Completed jobs default to This Week, with Last 30 Days and All available when needed, and opening a completed job shows only that selected job.
Optional carrier notes remain visible with the job, but they no longer create a separate multi-step acceptance process. Smart Match also uses physical load data to surface smaller suitable vehicle options even when a larger vehicle was stated in the source enquiry.
Smart Read can work from pasted text, text/email uploads, voice transcription and screenshot text extraction, then turn the enquiry into structured transport job data for review before matching or posting.
Customers / Forwarders often receive bookings as unstructured text and then have to rebuild the job manually, search for suitable capacity and contact carriers. At the same time, drivers and fleets spend time scanning work that may not suit their vehicle.
Turn customer instructions into jobs, publish work, find suitable vehicles, manage offers and follow accepted jobs.
Open Forwarder DemoReview suitable pings and Network Jobs, make offers, manage ongoing work and complete job administration.
Open Carrier DemoMatch jobs to the right fleet vehicles, manage work across the fleet and keep operational records organised.
Open Carrier Fleet DemoCarrier and Carrier Fleet views combine proximity, loaded mileage, vehicle suitability, customer trust, fixed payment terms and configurable cost-based profitability estimates. Carrier Fleet can filter around active drivers and see the best available driver/vehicle without automatic assignment.
Local customers and businesses can use the same booking journey to describe a load, compare suitable carrier offers and book transport, while freight forwarders retain the client-confirmation workflow they need.
Smart Read can separate repeated collection-and-delivery instructions from the same message, while carrying relevant shared date information into each individual draft for review.
The forwarder can see an illustrative floor-space plan and a suggested vehicle type based on the load information, helping them understand the likely fit before moving into live carrier matching.
Carriers and carrier fleets can keep estimated commercial performance visible on Network Jobs, pings, offers, ongoing work and completed jobs. Forwarders get a compact sortable offer workspace so high-response jobs remain easy to compare and award.
Multi-run weekly enquiries can be converted into separate pricing templates while shared route and vehicle-request context is retained, reducing repetitive manual entry for regular work.
The job reader can interpret shorthand dates and times, retain supplied total load weight, and use conservative assumptions when pallet size or stacking information is omitted.
Network offers and counter-offers made in response to direct work can be managed from one Offers area. If the work is awarded elsewhere, the no-longer-relevant offer is removed automatically.
A carrier's sent offers move into a dedicated workspace while the original Network job can remain available to other suitable carriers. Pending offers can be managed before a booking is confirmed.
Once a carrier or carrier fleet sends an offer, that opportunity moves into their Offers workspace. Accepted work then reserves the selected vehicle for the relevant booking date until the job is completed.
Smart Match can distinguish between a vehicle that is unavailable for immediate work and one that is expected to become available before a later collection, while keeping current-job reminders visible to the carrier.
Drivers and fleets choose the exact available registered vehicle when responding to work. Once that vehicle is committed to a job, its other open commitments are automatically cleared from the active workflow.
The commercial model is designed to reduce the barrier for forwarders to post work while giving carriers access to a lower-cost digital marketplace and matching workflow.
The demo demonstrates the product concept, the three user roles and the core journey from receiving a job through matching, offers and job administration. It is a product demonstration rather than a production marketplace.
Production note: a live marketplace would require secure accounts, backend infrastructure, live data, location services, notifications, document handling, audit controls and marketplace administration.
